Boneless chicken thigh, marinated and char-grilled in our tandoor, then folded into a deeply spiced tomato-cream gravy with bell pepper, onion and a hint of smoked paprika. Bolder than butter chicken, with that unmistakable tandoor flavour in every bite.
Chicken Tikka Masala starts where Tandoori Chicken ends — the tikka itself is yoghurt-marinated, threaded onto skewers and roasted in the tandoor until the edges char. Only then is it added to a separately built masala so the smokiness survives intact in the finished curry.
The masala base is a slow-cooked onion-tomato bhuna, brightened with ginger, garlic, garam masala, kasuri methi and just enough cream to round the edges. Result: a curry with character — richer than butter chicken, smokier than korma.
Both share a tomato-cream base, but Tikka Masala is bolder: the chicken is grilled separately, the spice profile leans into garam masala and crushed coriander, and the gravy is thicker. If you like a curry with more punch, this is the one.
